Virtual Infant Safety Class

This virtual class reviews infant safe sleep guidelines, car seat information, home safety , and video demonstration of infant CPR.
Topics include:

Mt Auburn Breastfeeding Support Group

The Christ Hospital Breastfeeding Support Group provides breastfeeding support for pregnant women and mothers. This event is open to the community and offers encouragement and education in breastfeeding and its impact on daily life—from prenatal questions, to maintaining breast milk supply, expressing breast milk and preparing for return to work.
The group is a place for mothers to discuss a variety of breastfeeding topics and meet other mothers in a relaxed setting. The group is facilitated by our nurses who are International Board Certified Lactation Consultants. (IBCLC).
The support group is FREE resources for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers. All mothers and infants are welcome.
The group is located on the 8th floor of the Main Hospital in the 8 south conference room.
Mt Auburn Save A Baby Class

Save a Baby Class is designed to educate parents about the basics of baby safety, and infant CPR /choking and child CPR/choking using the American Heart Association guidelines. Class will provide infant mannequins. A CPR card will not be issued. One ticket admits two people.
Directions: Class is in the 8th floor conference room of Main Hospital. Take Main elevators to 8th floor and look for the conference room located outside of the 8th floor maternity unit.
Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class start time. Closest parking is in P1.
Liberty Baby Care Class

This 2.5-hour class is designed to educate parents about the basics of baby care, including typical newborn characteristics. Safety issues discussed include a review of car seat safety, safe sleep, safe feeding practices, home safety, bathing safety and more. Basic diapering and care principles.
Mt Auburn Sibling Class

One ticket admits a child and two people to class! Please register one name for a class ticket.
This 90-minute class helps prepare big brothers and sisters for the arrival of the new baby. During this class, siblings-to-be learn how a new baby looks and acts, and how to adjust to their new brother or sister. Make sure the sibling-to-be brings a doll or stuffed animal to practice holding and diapering. This class is recommended for ages three to 12 years.

Today's Grandparent Class includes up to date information about baby care and safety. Topics for the class include baby care and safety, newborn feeding, holding, diapering, and dressing a baby, care seat information, postpartum depression, Sudden Infant Death Syndorme (SIDS), and safe sleep.

This 2.5-hour class is designed to educate parents about the basics of breastfeeding, including latching techniques, normal breastfeeding infant behaviors, milk supply guidelines, how and when to incorporate pumping, and troubleshooting common concerns.
